How the Asilah shore excursion works

First, your driver meets you outside the cruise terminal of Tangier Ville port, holding a sign with your name. Before the day, we ask for your ship’s name, its arrival time and its all-aboard time, so that the plan fits your call. If your ship docks at Tanger Med instead, tell us when you book and we will check the timing.

The road to Asilah

Asilah lies about 50 km south of the port, around 45 minutes to an hour by road each way depending on traffic. As a result, the short drive leaves more of your port call for the town itself.

Whitewashed streets and Atlantic views

Behind its 15th-century Portuguese ramparts, the medina of Asilah is a maze of white houses with blue and green doors. Many walls carry murals painted by artists during the town’s cultural festival, so the artwork changes from year to year. Walk the lanes at your own pace and follow the ramparts to the seafront viewpoints. Keep free time for photographs, a coffee by the ocean or a look at the small craft shops.

Return to the ship

We set the departure from Asilah with a safety margin before your all-aboard time. The driver stays reachable by phone and WhatsApp all day. However, traffic and other events beyond our control can still cause delays, so please keep to the meeting time agreed in town.

• Meals, drinks and any entrance fees are not included. Keep some dirhams or euros in small notes.
• The murals are artworks on people’s homes: please do not touch them.
