Our Tangier day trip from Malaga shows you Morocco in a day, without the long detours of group tours. From Malaga, Marbella or anywhere on the Costa del Sol, you reach Tarifa port, cross the Strait in about an hour and meet your private guide at the exit of Tangier Ville port, right in the city centre.
BBK Tours is a licensed tourist-transport company based in Morocco: we run the whole Moroccan part. The road transfer in Spain to Tarifa port is arranged on request with a partner operator, and the Tarifa – Tangier ferry ticket is booked in your name by us, or you can buy it yourself.
Allow about 2 hours by road from Malaga to Tarifa (160 km) and 1 hour 15 from Marbella. The Baleària or AML ferry takes about an hour to Tangier Ville port. In Tangier everything is private: you explore the Kasbah and the medina on foot with your guide, then your driver takes you to Cape Spartel and the Caves of Hercules, with a camel ride on Achakar beach. Back at the port in the late afternoon for the return ferry.

Group tours from the Costa del Sol often leave very early and spend much of the day on the road and in shops. On a private tour you choose your ferry times, the pace and the stops, with a guide who speaks your language. To make the most of Morocco, see also our Chefchaouen day trip from Tarifa or spend a night in Tangier.
A valid passport is required to enter Morocco; an ID card is not enough. Since 20 September 2026 Morocco stays on GMT, so Spain is one hour ahead in winter and two hours ahead in summer; the times below are Moroccan time. In strong easterly winds the ferry can be cancelled, and the day is then rescheduled. More details in our Tarifa to Tangier ferry guide.
Prefer to fly? Malaga has a direct flight to Tangier of about 50 minutes: we then meet you at the airport with our Tangier airport transfer. See all our day trips to Morocco from Spain.
