Our Asilah day trip from Marbella takes you to Asilah, the white medina on the Atlantic, privately and at your own pace. What to see in Asilah

Asilah is a small walled town on the Atlantic, 45 minutes south of Tangier. Its 15th-century Portuguese ramparts, whitewashed lanes and murals, repainted every summer during the cultural festival, make it one of the most photogenic medinas in Morocco. From the Krikia terrace the ocean view is superb. On the way, you see Cape Spartel and the Caves of Hercules, where the Mediterranean meets the Atlantic.

A valid passport is required to enter Morocco: an ID card is not enough. Morocco is on GMT, so Spain is one hour ahead in winter and two in summer; the programme below is in Moroccan time. In strong easterly wind the ferry can be cancelled: we then move your trip to another date with you.
