Early in the morning, your driver picks you up at your hotel or address and drives you to Tarifa port. From Marbella the road takes about an hour and a half, from Málaga about two hours and a quarter, and from Sevilla about two and a half hours. For distant cities such as Granada, we recommend spending the night before near Tarifa, because a same-day return would make the day too long.

Ferry from Tarifa to Tangier Ville

First of all, we book your passenger tickets in your name for the outbound and return crossings. The fast ferry crosses the Strait of Gibraltar in about one hour and arrives at Tangier Ville port, a few minutes from the medina. Sailing times change with the season and the shipping company, so we confirm them in writing for your date before you book.

VIP welcome at Tangier Ville port

After disembarkation, your official guide and your driver wait for you with a sign showing your name. Then they help you through the exit of the port and take you straight to your private air-conditioned vehicle. From that moment, someone is with you until you board the return ferry.

Cape Spartel and the Caves of Hercules

First, your driver takes the coastal road to Cape Spartel, where the Atlantic Ocean meets the Mediterranean Sea at the entrance of the Strait. You stop at the lighthouse for photographs and wide views. Next, you enter the nearby Caves of Hercules, famous for their opening onto the Atlantic. The entrance ticket is included.

Camel ride on the beach

Next to the caves, you enjoy a camel ride on the beach, with the ocean in front of you. It is a gentle, authentic moment, and the ride is included in the package.

Traditional Moroccan lunch

Lunch is served in a selected restaurant, in a calm and comfortable setting. You taste authentic Moroccan cuisine, such as salads, a tagine or couscous and mint tea. We confirm the menu and the drinks included with your quotation, and we adapt them to your dietary needs.

Kasbah, medina, Grand Socco and Petit Socco

In the afternoon, your guide leads you on foot through the historic Kasbah and its views over the Strait. Then you walk down the lanes of the medina to the Petit Socco, the old heart of the town, and to the Grand Socco, the lively square at the gate of the old city. Along the way, your guide shares the history, the architecture and the daily life of Tangier.

American Legation and the Nahon Synagogue

Tangier keeps a rich and plural heritage. When it is open on your date, you visit the Tangier American Legation Museum, a historic building in the medina. Your guide can also take you to the Nahon Synagogue, when visits are possible. Because opening days and access conditions can change, both visits stay subject to confirmation. Otherwise, your guide suggests another heritage stop nearby.

Free time for shopping

Before the return, you have free time to discover Moroccan handicrafts, leather, ceramics, spices and souvenirs. Shopping is entirely optional, and purchases are not included in the price.

Ferry and transport: what you should know

The package includes passenger tickets only: you cross the Strait on foot, without a car. In strong easterly wind, ferry companies sometimes delay or cancel sailings. If a sailing changes before your trip, we contact you and adapt the pickup time, or we offer you another date. If the return sailing is delayed on the day, your guide stays with you and your driver in Spain waits for the new arrival time.

Morocco is on GMT. Spain is therefore one hour ahead in winter and two hours ahead in summer, and the times in Tangier are always given in local time.
